Cosmetic Acupuncture

Visibly reduce the  signs of ageing with this traditional rejuvenating treatment practised by our trained and experienced therapists.

What is Cosmetic Acupuncture and how does it work?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is a rejuvenating procedure practised in Japan and China for thousands of years to help reverse and slow down the visible signs of ageing.

The Procedure
A number of hair-thin needles are inserted into specific points of the face to encourage blood and energy flow. This energy, or “life force” is believed to regulate the body’s healing process as it invigorates the facial area.

The treatment can offer measurable results after only a few sessions, reducing fine lines and deeper wrinkles and improving bags under the eyes. Long-term benefits can include the activation of collagen production with increased elasticity in the skin, better muscle tone and jaw-line definition.

Is it Safe?
Cosmetic acupuncture is extremely safe. There is no risk of disfigurement. Clients go back to work after a treatment feeling refreshed. With reduced stress and improved looks cosmetic acupuncture is a rejuvenating therapy in every sense of the word.

Is it Painful?
Cosmetic Acupuncture is virtually pain free. Most people find the treatment extremely relaxing and some actually fall asleep while the needles are retained and working. Some people however, experience mild discomfort when the needles are first inserted as some points of the face are more sensitive than others.

Who Benefits?
Cosmetic Acupuncture benefits almost everyone. Heavy smokers and those with digestion and long-term health problems should resolve their health issues before undergoing a course of treatment.

Who are the Practitioners?
Grove Beauty Clinic Therapists have been expertly trained by Dr. John Barry Langdale, a practising acupuncturist and master of the art of cosmetic acupuncture with more that 25 years experience. Our therapists have benefited from learning his unique method of this rejuvenating treatment based on and developed over the years from his original training in Hong Kong in the 1980’s.
